We are seeking a skilled Cloud Computing Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, architecture, and services, along with a passion for optimizing and maintaining cloud-based systems. As a Cloud Computing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions to ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the organization s cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future scalability needs.
- Oversee the cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with national policies and controls ( ) as well as industry standards for cloud computing and IT security.
- Manage cloud service providers and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Perform regular security risk assessments for cloud-based systems, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Lead the development and execution of the organization s cloud transformation plans, focusing on migrating legacy systems and optimizing cloud resources.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure all cloud operations meet security standards, including encryption, identity management, and access controls.
- Monitor and manage cloud systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Oversee the planning and execution of cloud-related projects, ensuring successful implementation within timelines and budget.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the cloud operations team, ensuring continuous improvement in processes, tools, and knowledge sharing.
- Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and innovations, ensuring the organization s infrastructure remains cutting-edge.
- Prepare and present regular reports on cloud performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud computing, with specific experience in the Saudi market (Must).
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cloud transformation planning and experience in working on large-scale cloud migration projects.
- In-depth understanding of national cybersecurity policies and IT infrastructure regulations ( ).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and a solid understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud-based security.
- Hands-on experience in managing cloud security frameworks and implementing cloud governance policies.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex cloud environments and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified, Microsoft Azure certifications) are preferred.
