the Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance team and responsible for the day to day accounting and other financial operations. Responsibilities include Accounts Payable, Billing, Financial Reporting, Tax and Payroll. In addition, this role will also assist in risk management and compliance.
When carrying out their duties/responsibilities, the Finance Manager, must ensure the firm's policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing and payments.
• Responsible for the Billing function, including issuing bills to clients in line with firm policies/processes and local laws/regulations including e-billing.
• Monitor office cash balances against expected expenditure and request funding as necessary.
• Develop controls to eliminate and/or reduce financial risk(s).
• Act as key contact and maintain external relationships with auditors, bankers and other third-party organizations e.g. Tax advisors, Tax authority.
• Provide support and guidance to Office Managing Partner and Local Practice Heads in relation to reports, financial performance and metrics.
• Stay knowledgeable of changes in regulatory, accounting and tax rules and legislation including best practice recommendations.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and tax accounts for internal approval and external review as required e.g. external audit(s).
• Prepare regular bank reconciliations, ensuring outstanding items are followed up and resolved without delay.
• Prepare VAT return, ensuring it is submitted on time and in compliance with local regulations.
• Prepare other balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, ensuring outstanding items are resolved without delay.
• Oversee month end closing procedures and ensure budget/prior year variances are investigated and resolved as necessary.
• Act as bank administrator and ensure payments are reviewed appropriately and approved in a timely basis.
• Inventory management and escalation point for partners in Riyadh.
Requirements
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA
• A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, gained preferably in a law firm or similar professional services firm.
