Description

We are seeking a talented UI/UX Design Specialist to join our dynamic team. This multidisciplinary position is suited for a creative thinker who thrives on solving design challenges with innovative solutions. Beyond designing user flows, journeys, and experiences, the role demands translating strategic thinking into compelling experiences, impactful visuals, and fully designed digital assets.

The role requires a unique combination of graphic design expertise and UI/UX expertise, ensuring that every digital touchpoint reflects brand identity and meets user needs seamlessly across all devices. Additionally, the ideal candidate will take full ownership of the design process, from ideation to execution.


Responsibilities

UI/UX Design:

  • Map detailed website structures and sitemaps
  • Create intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces, flows, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Design seamless journeys that optimize engagement and usability across all devices
  • Conduct research on user behavior and pain points

Graphic Design:

  • Curate mood boards and illustrate overall design concepts
  • Apply creative thinking to design appealing storytelling visuals such as banners, icons, animations, illustrations, interactive elements, and other components
  • Ensure consistency in visual language by adhering to brand guidelines

Web Design Execution:

  • Work closely with copywriters and the marketing & brand team to align design outputs with broader business goals
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are effectively implemented in code
  • Prepare the design assets optimized for performance, including responsive graphics and layouts
  • Project manage the design aspects of each website project efficiently
  • Prepare relevant placeholder copy to compliment the prototype (preferred)

Quality Assurance:

  • Help conduct user acceptance tests to refine design directions

Requirements

1. Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields.
  • Relevant certifications in UI/UX design, interaction design, or digital design can be an added advantage.

2. Technical Skills:

  • UI Design Tools:
    • Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or InVision.
  • UX Research Tools:
    • UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, or Maze for usability testing and research.
  • Prototyping Tools:
    • Marvel, Axure, or Figma.
  • Wireframing Tools:
    • Balsamiq, Figma, or Sketch for designing low and high-fidelity wireframes.
  • Frontend Development Skills (optional but beneficial):
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics, React, etc. for better collaboration with developers.
  • UX Writing:
    • Experience writing microcopy, error messages, or instructional text that enhances the user experience.

3. Soft Skills:

  • Creativity:
    • Ability to design aesthetically pleasing and functional interfaces that align with the product vision.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • The ability to identify usability issues and creatively solve them.
  • Attention to Detail:
    • Ensure that design elements, colors, fonts, and UI components are consistent and polished.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders, and clearly articulate design ideas.
  • Empathy:
    • Understanding and prioritizing user needs and pain points to design an intuitive user experience.
  • Time Management:
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

4. Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in UI/UX design (for junior to mid-level positions).
  • A portfolio showcasing past UI/UX design projects, including case studies, wireframes, prototypes, and the end result of your designs.

5. Knowledge of UX Methodologies:

  • Familiarity with User-Centered Design (UCD), Agile, or Design Thinking processes.
  • Ability to conduct user research, including surveys, interviews, and user testing.
  • Experience in user personas creation, journey mapping, and task flow analysis.

6. Understanding of Business Needs:

  • Understanding of how design affects conversion rates, user retention, and business goals.
  • Experience in collaborating with marketing, product, and business teams to align user experience with company objectives.

7. Adaptability:

  • The ability to quickly adapt to new design trends and technologies, especially in fast-evolving industries like tech and digital marketing.

8. Portfolio (Highly Required):

  • A well-organized and detailed portfolio that highlights a variety of design projects, including both UI and UX processes (e.g., wireframes, prototypes, research insights, and final UI design).
